Some say it feels like a small ant bite, or a little pinch, with the discomfort only lasting as long as the medication is being injected. Each injection takes only a few seconds with each area requiring a different number of injections. Anti-wrinkle injections will take roughly 4-14 days before you will see full results.

The brand of anti-wrinkle injections that we use cannot be discussed online due to restrictions from the Therapeutic Goods Administration, however, this can be discussed during your initial free consultation.

As it is still unclear whether the mediations used for these treatments are transferred through breast milk, or impact an unborn baby during pregnancy, we do not offer anti-wrinkle or dermal filler treatments for these women.

Results are not permanent. Your body slowly metabolises the medication, therefore, results fade over time. However, if you are unhappy with the initial results, you will need to wait for the effects of the medication to fade as the results are not reversible.

Anti-wrinkle injections can be done in a way that eases signs of ageing while still maintaining an expressive face. Treatment will only relax specific muscles so that other elements of facial expression remain active. Following your anti-wrinkle treatment, you will feel slight tenderness and swelling at the injection sites. You may also notice some slight bruising to some sites. If you have had treatment to your upper face, you may experience a headache afterwards. This is all normal and should subside over the coming days. Below is a list of post treatment instructions to promote healing. - Do not touch the treatment sites or massage the area as this can increase the chances of infection and the product spreading to another muscle. - No strenuous exercise for the next 24 hours. - No other facial or aesthetic treatments to the area for a minimum of 2 weeks. - No face down massages for the next 48 hours. - No active skin care (retinoids / vitamin A / AHA’s) products for 24 hours after treatment. The product takes 14 days for full effect and it is recommended to attend a review at this time to assess the treatment outcome.
